The OPA has produced, in collaboration with the makers of the LINX Reflux Management System, a booklet and leaflets to explain reflux disease and its treatment options. These options may begin with modifying your diet and lifestyle, and introducing targeted medication. Fundoplication, the current standard surgery for this reflux disease, is compared with the insertion of the LINX system and their respective pro’s and con’s, which you may want to discuss with your consultant in order to cope better with, and hopefully overcome, the dangers and discomfort of living with reflux.
